Course Title: Quantum Mechanics
Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physics
Bachelor of Science in Physics
Year: 3rd Semester: 1st
Year: 3rd
Semester: 1st
Academic Year: 2022-2023

All students attending the course for credit must fill the online check-in form (availabe here) with a pseudonym which will be used in posting their coursework and class test results. No coursework or class test result will be published without a pseudonym. To fill the check-in form stduents will need to log in using their instutional email.
Prerequisites: PHY 3103 requires a good mathematical foundation. Confidence with simple derivatives, integrals, differential equations, linear algebra (eigenvalues, eigenvectors), and, especially, elementary operations of complex numbers (addition, multiplication, complex conjugate, Euler notation, etc.), are essential for success in this course. From previous experience I know your main obstacle in this class will not be QM or the teacher, but will be your background in math.
Taking your own notes in class is encouraged. Asking questions, particularly “trivial” ones, also! You can meet me in my office to discuss any issue related to the course without any hesitation. You can also email me a specific question or photographs of calculations that are causing trouble and I will do my best to help fast. However, please avoid calling over phone, especially after 04:00 pm and during the weekend.
